READING CHALLENGE

Launch your summer reading mission by registering at the Library on or after June 22. Set a goal to read everyday and record your time on your log. Or register online, then stop by the library to get your reading log, and pick out a free book!

Bring your log back to the library each week to receive a prize and/or a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets will be drawn weekly, as well as at the end of the summer for a grand prize. The more weeks you hand in your reading log, the more chances you have to win the grand prize.

PRE-READERS (0-5)

Even though your little one may not be reading yet, there are many fun and simple activities that you can do together to encourage early language and literacy development. Or, substitute any activity for 20 minutes of reading together.

CHILDREN (6-12)

Shoot for the stars with your reading! Keep your literacy skills expanding like the universe by reading throughout the summer. Read 20 minutes and earn a sticker on your reading log. 5 stickers completes a level; each level earns you a prize or raffle ticket!

ACCELERATED (6-12)

Designed for voracious readers, this level challenges you to read 1 hour for every sticker on your reading log. 5 stickers completes a level; each level earns you a prize or raffle ticket!

TEENS (13-17)

Gravitate to great books this summer. Through reading, you can widen your understanding of the world and explore new ones. Reading for 1 hour equals 1 sticker, 5 stickers equals a level, and each level earns you a prize or raffle ticket!

ADULTS (18+)

Summer reading is not just for kids. Earn a prize or raffle ticket for every book you read!
