Photo Release Policy
The Lansing Community Library (LCL) staff may take photographs of participants, individually or in groups, attending or taking part in LCL programs and activities. These photographs may appear in future LCL publications or other LCL publicity. Individuals will not be named unless specific written consent is obtained. LCL patrons or visitors may not take photographs or videos of other patrons, visitors or staff without the permission of the Library Manager or designated person. Attendees and/or participants consent to having their photograph taken and used for such purposes. If an LCL patron or visitor does not wish himself/herself or his/her child to be photographed, the patron/visitor must notify LCL staff to that effect. Every effort will be made to make patrons and visitors aware of this policy through verbal announcements at programs and/or visible signs. On occasion the Library may decide that a program should be videotaped. If so, the presenter will be asked to agree by signing a consent form (modified photo release form) and the audience will not be filmed. If a presenter wants to videotape their own presentation, they must notify the Library before the presentation and they will not be permitted to videotape the audience.
