Friends
of LCL
Who we are:
The Friends of the Lansing Community Library (LCL) are volunteers who act independently
of, but in conjunction with, the library’s Trustees and librarian, to
preserve, promote, and strengthen library services. The Friends of LCL are
ambassadors for the library, protecting and encouraging sources of funding,
and often partner with other organizations to enhance the roles of the library
in the community.
The Friends of LCL has a Board of Directors, who invite new volunteers to join
its mission to support LCL, and its programs, and services. Advocacy, fund-raising
and volunteerism are the primary means of support.
The Friends of LCL:
Fund-raising efforts complement the library’s work and contribute
to special projects and activities. Volunteer efforts enhance program offerings
and contribute to a talent bank for the benefit of library services. Advocacy
efforts contribute to the long-range planning for the library, assist in marketing
programs and events, and provide a connection to the public.
The Friends of LCL always needs volunteers!
